Whilst glancing through magazines and trawling the web, I often come across amazing places (underwater or otherwise) that are truly inspirational and therefore on my bucket list. This section is for celebrating those places. First up is an underwater park in Austria. Enjoy!
The green lake, situated in Styria, Austria is only 1-2 metres deep during the winter. However, as the temperature starts to rise in springtime, the snow from the surrounding mountains begins to melt and fills the lagoon with water. In the summer the lake, named “The Green Lake” due to its beautiful colouring, is around 12m max depth.
Obviously this is very popular amongst divers, especially in May to June where it is at it’s most magnificent. A bridge, green meadows and foot paths can all be observed until July where the water begins to recede.by Katie with 3 comments
